Pilot Aircrew boots
Anyone know or recommend a supplier who sells aircrew boots? Tried ebay but no luck. Need a pair of size 10's for ATC Gliding scholorship. Thanks.

try hi-tec magnum boots.

You don't need them
Your VGS may be able to lend you a pair of flying boots; if not, trainers will be OK. You won't be expected to supply your own boots.

In my day we were issued with a pair of denims (well worn) and a pair of wellie boots - all sizes except the ones that fitted! Nothing like a pair of HM wellies for sensitive rudder control!!!
Cadets are soft these days! They even have gliders with closed cockpits!! .....and we had to walk to the airfield. |

You definately don't need boots. When I was instructing on the VGS I told my students to wear trainers. Make sure you keep your feet dry between sorties though. Arc |
