Fully working Lego Lee Enfield .303 rifle

To all the children amongst us(blokes) here is about the best thing i have seen since any program about Brunel!

Knowing men and their competitive nature i can only wonder how long it will be until the TSR2 flies again, albeit made of Lego.

Very smart, Tonker, and it certainly looks a lot more useful than the Mark III Lee Enfield that I had during my first year in the Combined Cadet Force, before I thankfully shed khaki and a kilt for dark blue. I was actually quite proud of it until the Permanent Staff Instructor disillusioned me by informing me that the pretty silver painted band round the muzzle meant that I must never fire blanks - with the rifle that is!

On the plus side, its four figure serial number belatedly became very useful as a PIN .....:ok:

Suprised there are no comparisons with the 5.56mm SA80 - one's a plastic toy that scares children and the other is a Lego model.

Certainly more impressive than the items I built with Lego. However, I had a Jonny 7 which strangely, I used to shoot at Lego!

I don't think 0303 was the serial number!!

Oh God !

That's it, ban lego from airport security screening, unless there are only a few pieces, suggest 4 doubles, 4 quads and a few glass bricks, all placed on the tray in a re-sealable clear plastic bag, before somone makes an Uzi 9mm and goes berserk airside.

You lucky bugger to have a Jonny 7!

I did not learn of these until recently, but would love to get one in perfect condition......The only thing stopping me is the price!

tonker 11th Jun 2010 09:28

You see what i mean about competition!!

Someone upgrades their car horn to play Colonel Bogie, and eventually you end up with this....:D:D:D Men

tezzer. Never joke about such things inside the London FIR!

How long before our caring, sharing, risk averse Government introduces a Lego Licence?

Now there is a way of raising a few quid for the MP's expenses fund !

SUPERB! :D

Now, if I can only get my 6 yo to make a working L1A1 out of toothpicks and mashed potato, I'll be onto something ....
