Recognition et al.

Yes Darwinism, your comments about recognition are spot on.

But publishing name, address and family details seemed a bit questionable. Otherwise a positive military story.

I agree, and when you have such distinguishable tatoos, I would have thought pictures to be a bit sensitive aswell.

But anyway, well done that man :D

Top shooting, but I do also agree that publishing names was not a good idea.

Well done!

Got to be honest, getting shwacked from a mile anda half has to be bad for enemy combatant morale.

Good on the guy but as the article refers to, what we can do - they can do. And it's much easier for them to pick a time, place and target.

A shot like that needs a ballistics computer. Sorry, but the human brain cant allow for

front, mid far wind corrections
Air Density
Air Pressure
Coriolis corrections
local gravitational force

Still, awesome shooting.

For anyone wanting to match it, "Theres an app for that!"

Ballistic: The Pro Ballistic Trajectory Computer for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad

Even uses the 3GS internal gps and compass for coriolis corrections! :8
