Large heli exercise at Netheravon

Has anyone got any decent photos from the exercise going on at Netheravon? There was certainly a fair amount of photographers around the refuel point everytime I went past.

"....There WERE....a few photographers.."

Plural :)

Jeez - the BBC are no better.

That's really helpful. Thanks.

Lizzie,

Actually you are wrong. His 'was' relates to the 'amount' of photographers and not to the photographers themselves. Amount is singular and so one uses the singular form of the verb. Had he said: 'there was certainly photographers' then you would be right but since he used the singular noun 'amount' then he was correct to use the singular form of the verb.

Sorry jky12345, not very helpful either but always happy to right a wrong!

You might want to try the modern military photography section on UK Airshow Review, jky - Link Not sure if what you want is there (at least not at the mo) but there are a couple of promising-looking thread titles...

Brilliant, thank you.
