RAF 2010 Calendar
Just received a copy of the RAF 2010 Calendar, bit surprised that there are no pointy jets at all, if you are a member of the Kipper Fleet you are well served though. Has the RAF PR love affair with the Typhoon ended?
|
Perhaps everyone has realised that actually it's SH and AT that are the workhorses, unless you include the 'operational' deployment of Typhoon to MPA!!

I'm confused? This calender?
The RAF Official 2010 Calendar (Square Calendar) Seems to have lots of pointy noisy pointless things :} |
Looks similar but with no pointy-types or AT, the version I have, if I remember correctly has:
Sentinel, Nimrod, CH47, Sea King, Nimrod, Puma, Merlin, Nimrod, E3, Griffin (SAR) and finally Nimrod (if I forgot to mention it before) Looks like I might have got a Kipper Fleet special! |
It does seem that there are two versions.
Royal Air Force (RAF) Calendar 2010 on eBay (end time 29-Nov-09 17:39:34 GMT) |
Post cuts my RAF calendar finishes in Sep 10!!
|
So will the RAF with any luck!
|
I was chuffed to see one of my photos made it into the calendar, but as ever I was not credited...
Damn the MOD and their Crown Copyright. |
Maybe it reflects how the RAF will look come December 2010?
|
Look Closer
Perhaps a closer look will reveal to the more observant that not all the nimrods are "kipper fleet"...................:ooh:
|
Any sign of the Mighty L1011 MRCA?

Perhaps a closer look will reveal to the more observant that not all the nimrods are "kipper fleet"................... Not even a whiff of a L1011 in the version I have. |
