Colour vision and the ADF

Does anyone know if it is possible to gain entry to the ADF for pilot training with a colour vision deficiency? I have a green anomaly but I have a class 1 medical from CASA. Does anyone know if I can appeal to be accepted or am I truly wasting my time?

I would think the ADF would turn you away for that. They have very strict policies when it comes to flying and vission.

Have you tried? In most countries AFAIK the civil/mil colour requirements are the same.

Military ops now use an increasing number of LED indicators, tell tales and runway lighting. Do you know how your vision is when exposed to this type of non incandescent light?

Worth pushing until you can go no further; it'll never be a waste of time.

Good luck:ok:
