All Spanish Airforce helicopters airborne at once
Last Sunday 22 Nov 2009 at 1730 I was leaving Malaga Airport heading west when a couple of Puma's appeared over the mountains.
Followed by ten more, then fifteen Gazelles then ten or fifteen other assorted helicopters !! Anyone any idea why the Spanish Airforce had all this lot airborne in one go ?? ... and before you ask - no I hadn't been on the San Miq !! |
Practising for the invasion of a nearby bone of contention?:ooh:

Maybe joint ex with France's ALAT as the Spanish don't operate Gazelles :) |
Very likely a join exercise with the French, as stated above. Those might in fact be the gazelles I saw flying south of the border last week. Plus I wonder if the Spanish army have as much as "ten to fifteen" helicopters and trained crew to go with it. :p
