Poppies In The Field
I thought I'd share this with you, it was written by my 8 year old son, the evening after the two minute silence held at his school.
Poppies Poppies in the field, Up and up they grow, Feel their brightness in your heart, Watch and watch them start and start, As they grow watch them blaze, In that patch a soldier lays, We don’t realize it these days, The soldiers that gave their lives, Because we weren’t there, But we really do care, Poppies in the field Michael Chambers 11-11-09 |
