F/L Dennis Pemberton

I wonder if anyone has come across a guy by the name of Dennis Pemberton who was an ATC instructor at the military ATC school at Shawbury in the late 1970s. He was a Flight Lieutenant at the time. I presume that someone must know him and if so what happened to him in the interviening years?

Dennis was at RAF Valley (DSATCO) circa 82-85. Not heard a word since; one of the better ones IIRC.

DC10RM. Had the privilege to meet Dennis at Linton-on-Ouse 1984. He was a good sportsman and could hold his own on a squash court. Lost track of him, but was saddened to read of his passing in 2017 on another forum.

SATCO Odiham early '90s. Hell of a nice guy.

Thanks for the update.

Only just found this thread. Yes, Dennis was DSATCO at RAF Valley and I was his SATCO 1979-82. Couldn't have asked for a more competent and supportive deputy. He finished his time as SATCO Odiham having held every rank from LAC to Sqn Ldr. He was brilliant at mentoring young airmen and young officers and universally respected. I believe he was also a qualified squash coach, but that always seemed far too energetic for me.......
