You go left, I'll go right

Clearly an old image of Benson, but it's a bit of a head-scratcher nonetheless.....

Published sat images are often composite. Probably two different time frames.

If you move down a bit there is another approaching the threshold. I guess the Googlers doing the image stitching were bored and decided to have some fun!

Geeks!

PS What happened to 'My' ILS? All those sunny days out at the glideslope transmitter watching the nesting plovers and the mother hares moving their leveretts?

And the bl**dy Queens Flight CO on his Land Rover committing Leporicide. I guess the excuse [not unreasonable] was to avoid aircraft tyre bursts but it would have helped if the man could shoot! You could hear a wounded hare screaming from a long way away! :(

And since the mighty Dog was withdrawn in 2001, it shows how old the imagery is for that area. The imaging used by Google for the same area (3 nm from Artist Towers) is from 2004, and at a much higher resolution - here are some Merlins and Grobs on the pan.

Hmmmmm - interesting. Do they really operate Merlins and Tutors that close together. I guess the Merlins must taxi from those spots rather than hover-taxi eh?

And if you look further up the pan you'll see two mighty Wokkas and a Hawk. It's not always Sleepy Hollow here in South Oxon :ok:

The police EC135 came to Benson in April 1999 and is in both images.
