Vehicle breaches security at RAF Aldergrove
There has been a breach of security at RAF Aldergrove in County Antrim.
It is understood a vehicle crashed through a security fence into the RAF base on Tuesday morning. The car was then reported to have been pursued inside the base but it managed to get away, at which point the PSNI took over. The breach is being investigated by both the military and the PSNI. A police helicopter is involved in the ongoing search. |

Sex assault 'link' to base breach A breach of security at RAF Aldergrove in County Antrim could be linked to a serious sexual assault in the Crumlin area, PSNI have said. It is understood a car crashed through a security fence into the RAF base on Tuesday morning, and drove off. At about 1215 BST the police recovered a car at Legann Street in the Ballysillan area of north Belfast. It had been reported stolen earlier. A short time later two men were arrested in the Crumlin Road area. A possible link between all the incidents is being investigated by police. |
