Was lucky enough to see the Raptor in action yesterday at RIAT. Unbelievable manoeuvrability and well put together display. The Typhoon was displaying just before it and was pretty good aswell but the F-22 seemed to p*ss all over everyones parade. Excuse the pun!! :ok:
Really hope Sunday goes ahead and the Vulcan gets to display.

Raptor

It certainly looks good...however display flying and combat flying are different beasts.

Not doubt an outstanding jet to have to go to war in......

But, as a pure display.......all that electrickery doesn't do it for me.....

Pete Chapman in a Lightning.....no computers, no gagets, proper pilot in a proper jet....:ok:

Better get back to me zimmer frame......

Bottom line though - the F22 display is bloody outstanding. Well done Max.

True...but I don't think the yanks need to worry about its war fighting capabilities. They tend to throw money at the problem and come up with kit that does the job.

for me , the most impressive thing is the pilot being interviewed. very informative without to much ' dumbdown ' , oh , and he only said ' er ' once!!
