AAC Historic flight

Saw the historic flight at Pirbright at the weekend for the first time. Very impressive

We had a Canadian officer with us and he was very chuffed the flight was lead by the Beaver and Chipmunk

Do the AAC's Lynx and Gazelle flights fall into the 'historic' category yet?;)

The Historic Flight is about all that's serviceable!

Not only are they very good, but they hold the distinction of being the only air display team that comprises of 6 different types and a mix of fixed wing and rotary. try keeping that lot in formation on a bumpy day!:)

They fly in formation?!! :ok:

Yes, and they are very good! :ok:

Ok so they probably don't have the Kudos of the BBMF but the staff work tirelessly to maintain and display the aircraft on a shoestring budget and they will be coming to an Airshow near you very soon.

Hats off to one and all!

Hope the AAC Historic Flight doesn't achieve the accolade of being the highest performance aircraft in the Army, ala RNHF post SHAR....

The Skeeter pilot used to have to leave for the display the day before everyone else if there's more than a 20Kt Headwind forecast and do everything at Vne to maintain formation.
