No Pumas either

I haven't seen a pair of Pumas today either. Which is strange, as I also haven't seen any Typhoons, Tornados, Sea Kings, Tristars or Space Shuttles.

Is there some sort of of conspiracy?

AL1. Have just seen a Tutor. That's all OK then.

Gainesy 18th Apr 2008 10:41

Did it Swoop?:uhoh: It must be traumatising for anyone to undergo such an event.:{

green granite 18th Apr 2008 10:46

No mil stuff around North Beds either :(.............Mind you I did hear something fast and low a couple of months ago.

johnfairr 18th Apr 2008 11:25

Gainesy, been no movements here at all today - they must have stacked early for happy hour . . . .

Normally see a few circuit-bashing on a Friday afternoon, just in time to hand it over to the lineys, debrief and be in the bar by 1700 sharpish, leaving the poor old groundcrew to sweat their nadgers off getting the thing ready for the next soup-stirrer. :(:(

Haven't seen any wokkas over my house in SE London for some days now.

A pity because when the cloud base is low they always fly underneath it so it can be quite spectacular.

Has the Prince given the one back he took to the Isle of Wight yet? :E

exscribbler 18th Apr 2008 12:23

Nowt ere in t'north

Nothing up here in the People's Republic, either. Again. I know it's Friday and I can't expect anything after 1430 :E but t'would be nice...

The Helpful Stacker 18th Apr 2008 12:48

Nothing overflying Nottingham either.

Perhaps they are keeping clear of the gunfire...

johnfairr 18th Apr 2008 12:52

Just heard the first Wokka of the day, heading back in to Odious

I think that any and everything that the RAF can muster is flying over my house.
It went on into the dark last night too

Brilliant!!:ok:

Gainesy 18th Apr 2008 14:46

I tried to get one but forgot to remove the lens cap. Sorry.:(

Bill16STN 18th Apr 2008 14:51

No wokkas, no 'phoons nuffink here in East Hert's.
- mind you there were a couple of movements this morning in the bathroom!

Warmtoast 18th Apr 2008 15:05

If you've watched any of today's BBC TV weather forecasts the weather girls have all been commenting about a funny smell in the air over the UK which they didn't forecast.

In these circumstances those with any in-depth knowledge of RAF flying habits will know that it is a cardinal rule is that the RAF DO NOT fly in smelly weather.

Smelly weather doesn't happen often, but when it does the crews have to remain grounded - hence no Wokkas, or anything else for that matter.

So now you know.

Could swear I saw a Vulcan t'other day. Must've imagined it.
