Forces free day out at Devon attractions 6th Jan.

I know its a bit late for this weekend but they are re-doing it later in the year.:ok::D:D

THE Devon Association of Tourist Attractions is offering families of the Armed Forces a free day out in the New Year to thank them for their ongoing service and commitment.
Service personnel and families can visit one of six DATA attractions for free during the weekend of 5th and 6th January, when they show their Service ID card.
Attractions participating in the free weekend are The Big Sheep and RHS Rosemoor in North Devon, Dartmouth Castle, Devon's Crealy Great Adventure Park near Exeter, Living Coasts in Torquay and Stuart Line Cruises in Exmouth, who are scheduling a special trip on Sunday 6th January at 2.30pm.
Angela Wright MBE, chair of DATA said: "We are delighted to invite the Forces' families to our attractions for a day of fun together! As family attractions, we recognise the importance of spending time together especially at this poignant time of year.
"From the most exciting family fun days with animals and adventure to boat trips and a castle full of military history or a romantic stroll through one of the most beautiful gardens in Devon, forces families visiting these six DATA attractions during the Free Weekend will have an amazing time!
"Some of our attractions are closed through the winter, so we will repeat this offer later in the year when there will be many more attractions to visit!"

This is very, very nice to see.
Could it be the start of a Nation starting to value their lads and lasses, of any uniform colour, on a more regular and obvious basis?
Please do...Well done Devon!

Just when ex Infantry commander is on the news about how the Government has allowed extra time off for our soldiers so the MoD can save funds. Apparently he said along the lines of if the soldiers have more time off, then the radiators, TVs and all the needy stuff in the barracks are switched off and saves money.
