He got off with a fairly light grilling, by Peter Allen's usual standards, but you could tell he was biting his lip.

He really, really WANTS to say it, but he can't quite muster up the courage.

"I think the RAF is now as lean as it can get".

"I can always spend more money if I'm given it".

He says it's down to the public to decide whether he gets more money.

A difficult day - not least for those associated with XV230. Sir Glenn came across quite well IMHO.

Agreed. Thought he was pretty good, but answered some questions like a politician. There was a few questions where I thought he was fairly frank, or more frank than I expected.

Sounds like he's got it in him to speak his mind if pushed.

A good journo might capitalise on this and get a result.
