South Devon flyby

I was in South Devon on Thursday and saw a Hercules do a low fly past near Burgh Island around 1900.I just wish I could have been on a hill to get a better view!
I was just wondering what is was doing there as it is normally Hawks attacking warships in that area!!

I am sorry to say that before anybody can supply you with that information they will have to get permission from the relevant Military authority.

All I saw was a wingtip of a C-130 poking out above the sea cliff. Most of the people who were on the beach thought that the aircraft was about to fly into the hill!It looked very impressive -I just wish I was on the other side of the hill to see it properly!

While we're on the subject of fly-bys, my wife was well impressed with the Jungly crew at Everleigh Ashes last Wednesday evening (8th August).
She did remark that she'd like to see how three men got such a large chopper into such a tight spot. And on the basis you don't get if you don't ask - is that possible at all ?
