Just interested. If you let off two heat seeking missiles, one after the other, does the second one home in on the exhaust of the first?

BOAC 13th Jul 2007 20:50

Spectacular piece of film.:ok:

Pontius Navigator 13th Jul 2007 21:14

Yeah but after the missiles had been fired the aircraft still had a full load!

Gainesy 14th Jul 2007 09:21

Way too much sag in those telephone wires, very shoddy workmanship.:hmm:

Fox_4 15th Jul 2007 08:10

Why is he popping flares against an AMRAAM?!

ORAC 15th Jul 2007 08:45

Mid 80s:

"Fox 1"

"Chaff 'n Flare - Chaff 'n Flare - Chaff 'n Flare"

"Fox 2"

"Chaff 'n Flare - Chaff 'n Flare - Chaff 'n Flare"

"Fox 3 - Chaff 'n Flare that one y'barst**d"

Nice vid, however, using flares while in Full Reheat is probably not a good idea.....

Pontius Navigator 15th Jul 2007 15:42

DD, you will have the black omega coming around if you give away too many trade secrets.

PPRuNeUser0211 15th Jul 2007 18:05

"So, any safety points?"

"Well sir, pretty sure I just nibbled the edge of the bubble at the merge...."

Melchett01 15th Jul 2007 22:35

Do you think the RAF PR people have seen this?

"Well Sir, it looks stunning visually and would no doubt appeal to lots of people. However, it is lacking on the EO front - not a single coloured, disabled or female person of the opposite sex in it at all, so I think we will have to give it a miss. However, I did have a really good idea for a display thingy at Abingdon .....:\

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! 16th Jul 2007 01:57

In that first bit, shouldn't they have passed on the right? :=

... and those flares were nothing compared to the F150 I used to own :{
