That first video clip took 13 mins just to start the ac before it moved, does it always take that long to get it going?

john - Not normally
A sleeping Nimrod crew on SAR standby can receive a scramble call at 4am - get dressed - load all the bags - drive to the ac (800m) from 2 different messes, and still get airborne safely within 20 mins - even though they are allowed a 1 hour response time
Very rarely are the ground-crew in No 2's. saluting and marching off as they taxi out
