Webber's are out of date...this is a gas grill!

Since it was Labor Day here in the USA...thought I would drag out the grill and cook up a hot dog or two.

Hey QFI....please to remember we had Dune Buggies on the Moon!;)

QFIhawkman 4th Sep 2006 19:32

Lol SAS, maybe on the next model they could direct the exhausts into the grill........

For that "Daytona 500" authentic aroma and flavour!

But we managed to get a little Lancashire chap and his dog there - and they had a picnic - far more civil than a barbecue. ;)

Reported here

Hi Sasless,
But as a very experienced ex VC10 Capt (well known to Ppruners) once informed his crew & pax:
"We'll soon be touching down at Dulles. For those that have not visited the United States before you will soon discover that not all Americans were involved in the space race!" :}

Well, made me smile at least..... guess you had to be there!
I'll get me coat!

Tis a Poof's machine. :suspect:

Real barbeques use wood.

Always_broken_in_wilts 5th Sep 2006 08:05

Classic Septic approach to the Kyoto protocol:ugh:

Gas IS the way ahead Gain's, any bl@@dy caveman can start a bonfire and turn bangers into "Frank Bruno's fingers" but 20th century man fully appreciates the subleties of a finely tuned gas burner and can turn out well cooked, attractively presented food, which is completly devoid of carbon/charcoal deposits, on time or to order everytime:p

Nice grill, man. I'm off to B&Q to find one.

Quite the king of the drive by, aren't we?

And I think most Americans would prefer the Hiroshima Protocol. At least, that's one we signed up for! :}

Ah I see that the old British wit is a bit too subtle for you Bricktop:rolleyes:

I make that 2-0 so far.

Gainsey got the first goad and set up the second one from the wing for ABIW

PS, I misspelt 'goal' but on second thoughts I think it makes more sense.

Fair enough, however, if you look at most of ABIW's post, he's a big fan of the quick one-liner, then off to not stay and play. But I did bite off on the hooks, so bad on me!

Nice one Brick, please see PM

Pub User 5th Sep 2006 22:51

It's certainly an impressive machine. The website tells me it's powered by a 5.7 litre, 345hp V8 engine. It does not, however, suggest that the sausages are cremated using anything other than solid fuel. I hope not, because
GAS IS GAY

Always_broken_in_wilts 5th Sep 2006 23:04

Pub,

It's that very mindset that has one half of the Wiltshire airbase living in the dark ages whilst the other half has embraced modernity and seen the light:p

Step away from the charcoal fella, repress your neanderthal urges to simply create fire and prove you truely belong in the 21st century by cooking on time, anytime with a gas b-b-q................it's truely something wonderful to behold:ok:

Yes, but starting a REAL fire is much more manly and fun.

I'm a fire starter. Twisted fire starter...:}

Always_broken_in_wilts 6th Sep 2006 07:48

You can liken fire starting to fight starting as a football hooligin, they both perport to being manly and fun, any feckin idiot can do it and once started both rapidly get out of control:=

Nope trust me gas is the way ahead.............for the more discerning al fresco diner:p
