11sqns Delta Novembers (ZE168) Phantom markings
 

hey all

just wondered if anyone knows why ZE168 DN has two phantom aircraft markings below the canopy combing on the left hand side of the jet.

...although you have to admit that as soon as one starts slapping 'kill decals' on the side of ones aircraft one is introducing it to the public domain anyway. However, if I was you, chicken, I would probably keep quiet about what I'd seen in the paperwork since it is sure to be classifed, even if only Restricted.

If any posting is not appropriate won't the Mods come along and sort it?

It can't be a big secret if it's painted on the side of the cab, surely?

There have been so many deletions here that my post #2 looks out of place. It once was further down the pile and did actually follow on from the original post #2. Never mind, I shall leave it there. But please don't delete any more posts or my post will be totally meaningless! For a change.

ZE168 is an ex F3OEU and FJWOEU airframe, and as such used to trial new weapons out in the US at places like China Lake, Tonopah and Eglin.

The Toom markings are of QF-4 drone aircraft:ok:

Edited due to the fact I'd forgotten the ASRAAM firings at Eglin where 168 actually earned the zaps:ugh:
