Low Level Action I (N.B. Pictures)
Here are some photos from the 12th December, taken by "Rusty" from a place he simply calls "The Hill". Six more tomorrow.

I didn't know ETPS still flew thier Jag - seems a bit pointless now doesn't it?
|
Where's the Jag?? :D
|
3 minutes - must be a record????
|
Too much trout here for my liking.
|
LC,
Also surprised at the response time! And from a post soooooo obvious!:D |
ETPS do still fly thier Jags (x2).
seems a bit pointless now doesn't it |
...and this isn't an ETPS aircraft anyway. Not all raspberry ripple aircraft are, contrary to popular belief hereabouts.
Anyway, back to the pics. Very nice. Last GR1, isn't it? I heard recently it'll be retired very soon. |
Death of the last GR1
The GR in the pic is ZA326, the last remaining Tornado GR1. It flew it's last sortie today at Boscombe Down. :(
The great titanium melting pot in the sky presumably beckons... |
Although given the themes of 'Cold War' and 'Research & experimentation' at the museum at Cosford, a retirement home there might not be inappropriate?
|
Fox-1,
Impressive post - only 20 mins after 326 landed from its final sortie! Shame about the cloud layer. Rgds L |
