Vc10 Off Runway At Fairford
 

Just heard that a VC10 has gone off the runway at Fairford. No other details. Hope everyone ok.

Part of the defence cut backs I'm afraid - just trying to taxi home.
The study, initiated by OC Admin, concluded that the aircraft would use less fuel if it taxied to its next destination.

Do we know if this is gen or just rumour!

If gen, hope everybody is ok!

Whilst hoping nothing untoward has happened, I have to say that I was spluttering into my keyboard when reading the post of Mr EESDL

If only it wasn't true!!!!

Why not blame the movers, after all they appear to get the blame for everything else that goes wrong at FFD.

Now 2338Z and another A/C rattling the windows and on finals for 27 at Fairford, so the runway and airfield are open, whatever has happened. If there has been an incident of any kind, I hope that all are ok.
