He-52
Hi,
On my solo qualifying cross-country today I was tuned to Scottish Info when a US accented "NAVY 1" called up in an HE-52 flying at 500' en-route to Newcastle out of Leuchars. I assume it was from the airshow, but I'm unfamiliar with the type HE-52. Any one able to enlighten me on this aircraft? |
The USN operates the following aircraft:
Fixed wing: C-2A Greyhound C-9 Skytrain C-12 Huron C-20 Gulfstream C-130 Hercules C-40A Clipper E-2 Hawkeye E-6A Mercury EA-6B Prowler EP-3E (ARIES II) F-5N/F F-14 Tomcat F-16A/B Fighting Falcon F/A-18 Hornet P-8A P-3C Orion S-3B Viking T-2C Buckeye T-6A Texan II T-34C Turbomentor T-39N/G Sabreliner T-45A Goshawk RQ-2A Pioneer Rotary Wing: HH/UH-1N Iroquois CH-53D Sea Stallion H-3 Sea King MH-53E Sea Dragon SH-60 Seahawk TH-57 Sea Ranger VH-3D Sea King V-22A Osprey tilt rotor VH-60N Night Hawk Nothing there which sounds like 'He-52'. MH-53 perhaps? |
Heinkel built an He 52 prototype in 1936, but I doubt it's still flying :p.
