Plessey Trophy

Anyone know the history of the Plessey Maritime Trophy? When did it start? Was there a forerunner? Guess what’s being presented near a Sunderland Float in Northern Scotland Tomorrow?;)

The OC of what was ADAC now DLTS something or other has a file on the beasty with history the other option is SLOPS at N'Wood or is he/she now SO2/3/J4/5 now. They used to be the deciders a while back or if you can get one of the old codgers out the home such as Four Bellies he knows just may not remember too well:E .

Correct me if I am wrong, but, given the cuts over the last 10 years or so, I believe the 'Float' Sqn now has a 50/50 chance of winning it every year!

Thanks, dit is now in black and white for the pres. Hope the Ausie winter isn't too cold for you.

Some would say (not me) that the odds are better than 50/50 with next door!
