Just out of interest, the first MR4A went into Norwich earlier for a paint job....... at Sprayavia. So, hopefully it will come out in 'grey'!

Ian Corrigible 27th Apr 2005 16:04

Is t' baron able to sell this export version overseas without DoT restrictions...or are there strings attached....?!

Thud_and_Blunder 28th Apr 2005 17:37

This one HAS to go into the Caption Competition thread - Ian C's comment rates a star or 2 on the chucklemeter!

rivetjoint 28th Apr 2005 17:51

Hang on, one of those is a work of fiction that'll never fly... oh bit late with that joke.

f4aviation 28th Apr 2005 18:25

Rumour has it that the MR4 doesn't fit in Sprayavia's hangar...oops...:uhoh:

Razor61 28th Apr 2005 22:31

Looks like an over glorified C-17 to me!

Read somewhere it was first said on a spotter's mailing list.

Dimmer Switch 29th Apr 2005 13:34

Sorry to spoil the impending fun, but the spotters got it wrong :ok:

I have it on good authority that the modified aircraft shown in the final UK design, the need for extra fuselage space being noticed when rations were loaded for a 15 hour CT.

I know of a used to be young Co-pilot, who flew with us, who had the walk for the export version. Though he never learnt that you need speed to clear a burning piano. Sorry just realised how many co-pilots you must have flown with over the ages.:uhoh:

Fill us in on how it is all going as these prop things are shaking this not so old fella to bits:yuk: .

Sorry mate, but you are wrong! Parts of the wing tips and tail have been removed. Aircraft still in hangar, go and see for yourself :ok:

pr00ne 1st May 2005 19:58

The Claw,

Aren't the hangars at Norwich the same sort as those at Kinloss?????????????????????

Charlie Luncher 1st May 2005 22:32

I feel robbed as they wouldn't let me grow a goatie to go with my singlet and footy shorts, so I saw no point in the holden V8 26 ltr ute:* .
Looks like I'll be coming out your way at the end of the year once it firms up will let you know.

According to someone at Norwich today, the MR4A has now been towed back out the hangar sporting a nice 'grey' coat but the tail is still 'off' so will be re-attached probably today or tomorrow.

Dave Allen 11th May 2005 19:20

Charlie,
when are you over and if so will you be up our way?
