'Asylum seeker' in missile lorry
|
If it wasn't so worrying it would be hilarious.
The MoD say there was no danger as the missile parts were packed in boxes The stowaway probably knew that that during ground defence training all HM Forces have to watch a frustrating video called 'Intruders On Military Property: Their Rights and How You Must Never Speak To Them In A Nasty Tone Of Voice, Let Alone Point A Weapon At Them' |
Presumably the RN will be getting a hefty fine, just like the (other) innocent HGV drivers that unknowingly import these tw&ts??
Should make for some intersting accounting within the RN?? Kind regards TSM |
'If somebody comes into the base in the back of a truck it's obviously a concern'
Said the MOD spokesman for stating the F  g obvious toofattoostowawayinamissiletruck:8 |
But to be fair, if you where going to chose a truck to stow away in, would you pick the one bound for Tesco filled with food and other misc items - or the one filled with weapons going to a military establishment?
No wonder he doesn't have a job! Come to think of it, should we infer from this that Tesco lorries are more secure than missile carrying ones? :uhoh: |
What missile parts would the RN bet getting from France?
Exocet - no Aster - not yet Sounds fishy to me. |
What missile parts would the RN bet getting from France? |
The Sun says he did .Sea Wolf is made in the UK, so is Sea Dart, Exocet is out of service, so that just leaves Aster which at least 4 years away from becoming operational. It could be a training round. Any ideas?
|
Well, if the SUN said he did, then he must have.... :hmm:
|
I thought France's preferred why of delivering missiles to us was to sell them to Argentina/Iraq/anyone else were in conflict with or is subject to an arms embargo - and then helping the user fire them at us.
|
Quote from Navy News:-
--The crates and boxes contained parts for the launcher module of a new missile system which is being trialled – but the components on the lorry were essentially sections of an empty steel box, with no classified items such as electronics, munitions or missile parts involved.-- |
WEBF
- and then teaching us how to counter them - a sort of triple whammy and all at a price, of course. |
Ahh. In the case its probably an Aster launcher for the PAAMS trials barge Longbow. Thx.
