Existing Manpower Surplusses

Mates
On one of those stats briefing sheets that come round from time to time I recall seeing that RAF was a number of wg cdrs in surplus.

Q 1 What is the true figure (+ or - a few) for officer surplusses?
Q 2 What PPrumours ref natural wastage vs redundancy ( from CAS brief "...we will need a targeted redundancy scheme. ....once agreed with ....Treasury..").

Noting lack of Greedy Gordon's agreement but given present Govt penchant for choice etc what scope for negotiating bespoke deal? I understand someone did during 'Options for Change' and got a very good deal.

Cynically I believe every one has a price......how high can one pitch?
