On paper this looks like a very capable bit of kit but I have a few questions..

-- Is this for real?
-- How does it compare to JSF?
-- Who are Stavatti?

From what I've seen elsewhere, the consensus is that there is a healthy dose of bovine scatology attached to the thing...

One of the things I have seen elsewhere (was it the Key Publishing forum? I can't recall) has the HQ of this high-tech company being in a shed. Certainly, if they manage to develop this thing without the aid of a) a design staff and b) manufacturing facilities, then the world should beat a path to their shed.

They also claim to make ICBMs, space launch vehicles and the like; while it appears possible that they might make another product they list - bagpipes.


Have a look at the Stavatti website as a whole. It makes for....er.... interesting reading.

Edited to add - it was the Key forums. The Chairman/MD/Company Secretary/Chief Designer/Tea Boy is also building a laser rifle, since:

"We know what threats are out there. A 9mm just won't cut it when you are facing 30 ft tall insectoids, or the reptile alien overlords from Rigel."

You have to admire the guy. It must be a load of pie in the sky, (mustn't it?), but it takes a while before it all becomes preposterous. Why is this? Because the guy can write English with respectable grammar and correct punctuation. Pretty good Website designer too.

I don't know about this version but I do know the US are considering a lightweight agile fighter based on a cheap and cheerful solution for homeland defence. Rationale is that they needs lots to protect against a reoccurence of 9/11 and that more capable platforms aren't required - hence the cheap and cheerful route on the basis that quantity has a quality of its own!

Maybe we could flog them those redundant SHARs!

This is of course total BS, an eleborate fantasy created by someon with far too much time on his hands.

And here is a little history about the man:

Stavatti was founded by Christopher R. Beskar for the purpose of producing his aircraft designs. Mr. Beskar is the current Chairman, President & CEO of Stavatti and is also the majority shareholder, owning 58% of the company. In all likelihood, unless Mr. Beskar sells his stock for tens of billions of dollars, he will remain as senior executive. Hence, for all intents and purposes, he is the company’s dictator. Mr. Beskar is largely responsible for determining corporate policy and culture. If you work for Stavatti, you will work with him.

Mr. Beskar is obsessed with performing as many tasks as possible. He enjoys designing, prototyping, testing and flying the aircraft. He likes meeting customers as well as marketing and selling the aircraft. He writes most literature and handles tactical and strategic management. He can apply for H-1B Visas and can do the Stavatti taxes. If feasible, Mr. Beskar would do everything at Stavatti, having all production aircraft built by robots and/or clones. In so doing, Mr. Beskar would receive all the profit associated with Stavatti and would be the only salaried employee. But that would tire him out and utterly destroy his family life.

Stavatti hires employees to assist Mr. Beskar and make his life easier. This is fundamental to understanding why careers exist in the first place. Mr. Beskar desires to reduce the amount of work he has in a given day, hence he elects directors, and hires both executives and employees such that he may assign a portion of his tasks to them. Theoretically, in exchange for performing those tasks, Stavatti will pay those individuals. To entice them to work for Stavatti, rather than another company, Stavatti will be made to appear more attractive by offering benefits and perks to directors, executives and employees.

Furthermore, there are tasks which Mr. Beskar is unqualified for, or lacks the expertise/finely honed talent to perform. To accomplish such tasks, Stavatti again hires employees who exhibit the required areas of expertise and might just be the best in their field.

In short, if you are employed by Stavatti, its because Mr. Beskar, hence Stavatti, needs you. Stavatti does not create jobs for the purpose of job creation or to provide entitlements. Stavatti completes tasks. Similarly, Stavatti will guarantee you a job only when you are reducing overall corporate workload.

In that case it is no longer 'Military' and no longer worthy to be on these pages. So.......we will just let others have a laugh or two before it slips off the bottom!
