Explosions at an Ammunition disposal depot outside Berlin

I didn't put it in the other thread ( Ukraine) as it is probably not related. The fire spread to the surrounding Grunewald Forest, which I would imagine is tinder dry.

No real drama. It's the old police bomb disposal site at Grunewald forest next to Avus Autobahn that caught fire this early morning. A total of between 25 tons (police) and 50 tons (fire brigade) of old ammunition, mainly from WW2, are stored there for demolition and started to ignite and explode. Fire brigade keeps a distance of at least 1000 meters and just guards the surrounding forest. Essentially, they will wait it out. Hot temperatures but not much wind.
It would have been fun for Tempelhof approaches or Gatow patterns.
