To be honest, not sure why they need a website - not sure programs of this magnitude depend on how much money is spent on a website! Slightly troubling that some think it should.......but that's Pprune for you ;-) I see that they are attending Global Defence Helicopters in Warsaw so you can go and ask them for yourself. Maybe they've decided to spend website expenditure on meeting prospective clients?

Fair one. Perhaps Ascent should have spent their website budget on a proper MPS from the start too.

Their website is very shiny, lots of glossy photos of succeeding students.... Are they at least providing a decent MPS now?

There has always been a Goldilocks and the Three bears feeling about the attempts to sell the UK the Blackhawk in the past - Wessex replacement - it's too small, so we bought the Merlin; Lynx replacement, too big, so we got the Lynx mk 10, sorry, Wildcat. Maybe the Puma/Griffon/212/Dauphin one will be the time it's just right?

Just a thought about Pumas filling the gap between Griffins and NMH. How suitable is the HC.2 for overwater SAR, inasmuch as they do not have winches or flotation gear and how current are the crews in that type of ops?

They do have a winch, otherwise they wouldn't have been sent to Cyprus or Brunei, where winching is bread and butter.

Too big, or too big for the RAF to allow the Army to operate it?
