Good thing the wind was not blowing hard....he could have been dragged back out and hurt himself falling off the roof to the ground.

Did your life flash before your eyes?

No, but your wife's bits did as I passed through the bedroom...

It depends on how much he got out. Maybe it was enough to slow him down a little and the roof did the rest (not that that wouldn't hurt mind). I saw a double malfunction on video of Bridge Day and the guy had a streamer and landed in the river. AFAIK it was a survivable event

I mean, who lands like that without a parachute and lives?
you'd be surprised, there was the Lancaster rear gunner Nicholas Alkemade, and then there are the ones who do it on purpose like the guy with the two nets and the four cranes, and the guy in England with the helicopter and the cardboard boxes

It partially opened. Obviously enough to help, but he was going fast enough to smash straight through clay roof tiles.

Ouch!

I hope he went and bought some lottery tickets afterwards......

That photo above with the guy standing over him reminded me of the scene in Battle of Britain film when Edward Fox crashed through the greenhouse roof and the young lad rushes in to get the cigarette box to hand him a fag, and he replies "Thanks awfully ole boy"

The odds of him dying were much higher than the odds of him living.
