Union Flag should be treated with more respect.

Are the OCU airframes in “Trainer Black” these days, for Hi-Vis purposes? Or is this a Night Intruder variant?
From Wiki: "No. IX (B) Squadron re-equipped as an aggressor and air defence squadron operating Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 1 at 0931hrs GMT on 1 April 2019".

ZJ914 is an IX Squadron airframe and was repainted in black last year, perhaps inspired by the US aggressor schemes. Remains to be seen whether this is a one-off experiment, or if all IX Squadron jets will end up painted black.

A pity that a coloured 'display radome' can't be fitted....

They could have done something creative with the grey radome, now it just looks like they had to put on a spare.

Personally, not having seen any fast jet display flying for 18 months, I don't really care what colour it is!

Aged spotter and proud of it!

WHERE WILL IT BE SEEN?

Are there such events as "Airshows" these day? As to military aircraft, personally I preferred then silver!

Yes! And with RAFAT!
- Jersey International Air Display – Thursday 9 September

The Red Arrows are due to return to the skies over Jersey in September to headline this iconic local event. The world-renowned aerobatic display team missed the 2017 and 2019 shows, and the 2020 Air Display was cancelled due to pandemic restrictions.

It's a little like those souvenir mugs you can buy in London where they make half a flag for one side, then just reverse the picture on the other side. Maybe it's a cost saving measure

...as for the very first picture (not that my opinion counts mind) - my first impression was that it looks like it's part of the British Airways fleet

...but one drawback is that because the intake cover is red it no longer stands out, though you'd hope that wouldn't be a problem

You can't beat a full tiger scheme.

If you can't afford one, this is the next best thing !

"How come nobody has noticed they got the flag backwards"

I never really understood why the diagonals are off centre - it's no wonder 99% of people get it wrong...............
