New Typhoon display livery
Your service commands respect, but that doesn't give you the right not to be challenged when you fail to show the same respect to those serving now who are just as proud of their service, squadrons and aircraft as you were.
"Mildly" Eccentric Stardriver
I'm not sure why, but I actually think it looks much better in the air than on the ground!
Is it still an operational aircraft? looks like a good "splash" to me!

At one time and not too long ago, solo displays by current types provided a show case of RAF capabilities at home and abroad and apart from the odd fin scheme, didn't have gaudy paint work all over them, a travelling merchandise shop and they weren't called display teams. This is another overstatement which, as you indicate, goes hand in hand with contraction and paucity. There doesn't seem to be any distinction inferred from actual display teams, such as the Red Arrows. The more hype and razzamatazz, the less there is to see. But I do like the new scheme, I'm just surprised it got past its woke test, it does look quite patriotic!

Well its got a mixed response on the spotter websites/faceache groups....
I assume its likely to be the only Bat Jet that has got/will get that scheme and the plan for more is now out the window due to binning T1 on/by 2025 anyway...?

Genuinely curious if the pedestrian paint jobs put on British military aircraft are down to lack of budget being made available, or just lack of imagination/talent. This is another tiresome example of a design than serves only to make the jet look plain ugly.
I was spectating on the beach at Lowestoft Air Show when the Harrier went for a swim. The commentator had, moments before, said
“Take a good look at the tail next time he comes past, it is a special paint scheme for this display aircraft.”
We were all then treated to a very good look at the tail paint scheme as it the aircraft slowly sank, nose first, into the North Sea!

I suppose I shall get hammered for saying this....but that design is butt ugly to me.
It is just down right gaudy looking....but to put the flag on an airplane as busy as yours is....is a very difficult task to accomplish.
Flying the flag is right and proper...and if it triggers the "woke"....do it with Reheat in full blast please!
The important thing is doing displays and showing the Flag.....and brings credit to the RAF.
Here is something that has become very popular at our Air Displays.....Legacy Flights combining generations of aircraft together in a single formation.
