Reference Burrell announcing that the EU will supply Ukraine with fighter jets, it has been pointed out that the Polish Air Force still has Mig29s (23) and Su22s (18) in their inventory.

Scurrilous suggestions that any such jets will be provided with weapons and that foreign pilots and ground crew might accompany them are regarded as equally unlikely as Russia having provided pilots to their allies during the Korean and Vietnamese wars….

Reference availability - the Mig-29s are still in service and flying, and upgraded to be NATO compatible with IFF etc. As are the Su-22s.

Was that explosion unusually large or unusually small?

Being reported as thermobaric.

Plus the jet that force landed? That could be returned.

with the pilot.
Unless the pilot has already "by mistake on behalf of local military police" escaped with a fully loaded, fueled and serviced AC. Accidents happen.

Not a surprise….

Sky News: BREAKING: Russian airline Aeroflot says it has cancelled all flights to European destinations.

US-based United Parcel Service Inc and FedEx Corp, which are two of the world's largest logistics companies, have said they are halting delivery service to Russia and Ukraine due to the Russian invasion? Both inbound and outbound services have been suspended…

It is not yet clear if both firms continue to use Russian airspace as part of their general operations.

Moscow departure board today…

Ran out of gas and abandoned maybe.
There does not seem to have been sufficiently critical staff work done before this invasion.
Inadequate force, poorly coordinated and no effort at all to manage the narrative.
The premise must have been that the troops would be welcomed as liberators, else the plan makes no sense at all.

Would be big, several hundred kilos of highly volatile hydrocarbons with a slightly delayed fuse to allow for air mixing.
Much larger volume pressure wave, albeit not as intense as being close to a high explosive burst, but lethal for people and normal structures..

Ukraine Defence Ministry reporting Odessa is under attack.

Various reports of the 11 Amphibious assault ships which have been holding offshore are now heading towards the coast and an amphibious assault is imminent or underway.

Leaks from the Ukrainian presidential administration, referencing US intelligence, suggested likely landing spot for the ships will be Zatoka, south-west of Odessa

It is being reported that talks have been agreed to take place. I hope the Ukrainians take the advantage and walk in saying… we will stop our attacks when all Russian troops leave Ukraine. Including Crimea, and the Donbas region.

iIt doesn’t matter who you affiliate with. A country has borders. Those are indisputable. If you happen to feel an affinity with another country then move to that county.

So, if Putin starts using thermobarics in built up areas, does the world sit back and watch?

I agree, Putin just needs to say he has attained the goals set out at the offset and leave, however he won’t be able to hush this sh*tfest up when his survivingg troops and the bodies return home.

"I don't regret a thing" - Ukrainian unrepentant for attempting to sink yacht

D. Taras O., the 55-year-old Ukrainian who attempted to sink the luxury yacht that belongs to Alexander Mijeev, stated in court on Sunday: "I don't regret anything I've done and I would do it again."

Arrested for partially sinking the luxury yacht in Port Adriano, he fully accepted the facts of the case and assumed total responsibility for what had happened. When the Guardia Civil arrived in Port Adriano on Saturday, he turned himself in and told officers: "My boss is a criminal who sells weapons that kill the Ukrainian people." Alexander Mijeev is the CEO of Rosoboronexport, a Russian military weapons company.

He has worked as a mechanic on the Lady Anastasia for some ten years. He acted after seeing a news report om the television. He told the judge: "I watched the news about the war. There was a video of a helicopter attack on a building in Kyiv. The armaments used are produced by the yacht owner's company. They were attacking innocents."

He has been working on the seven-million euro yacht, Lady Anastasia, for some ten years. On Saturday, he watched television footage of a Russian cruise missile hitting a block of flats. He took it that this was a cruise missile produced by Mijeev's company. He went to the yacht in Port Adriano, intent on revenge by causing material damage rather than personal.

He opened a large valve in the engine room and a second in another compartment where the crew lives. He closed the fuel valves and turned off the electricity and told three crewmen to abandon ship. They told him he was crazy. He reminded them that they were Ukrainians and that their homeland was under attack.

They and other workers at Port Adriano tried to stop the water leak, the yacht having partially sunk. When the Guardia Civil arrived, he told them: "The owner of this yacht is a criminal who makes a living selling weapons and which now kill Ukrainians."

He appeared in court on Sunday and the judge released him on charges.

Mindful that in the eyes of the Kremlin, Poland and other NATO MiG-29 operators supplying operational airframes to the Ukraine to be flown by Ukraine pilots, might come within a hairs breadth of NATO confronting Russia.
Also fully supportive of it.
This is getting very risky indeed.
