Balls of steel or what, a lone Ukrainian tank taking on a Russian armoured column.

In addition, it has always been fairly standard practice with ATGMs, aim off until the last few seconds, prevents the smoke trail from hiding the target.

Fascinating stuff. Interesting personal interactions, they seem more like a bunch of engineers discussing a technical problem than what I would expect of soldiers in combat. (speaking as someone who has never been in combat)(and old too)

The folly of the Kyiv part of Russian strategy. This is what you get when someone insists on 'reinforcing failure' - massed shredded Russian vehicles at Hostomel airport.

I don’t know if these are factual, they seem far fetched.. the second one about NATO members is from a Russian site BTW.

Talk of the General’s capture may be premature as he has denied it, as has NATO. According to them, he is still running the shop in Izmir.

I await with baited breath a cable (or text) to be sent by the General, proclaiming that The reports of my capture are greatly exaggerated

As TJEE has stated, fitted to the uniform during manufacture and either bought on-line or given to Ukraine.

Shows the Ukrainians as a whole do have a clue what they are doing, though the first engagement failed as the Missile reload team were far too keen and had not been full briefed on the system (like don't reload until the operator tells them).

Yes, the Boss of NATO Land Forces is really NOT going to be trapped on the Front Line.

I totally agree, any country involved in suspected war crimes should lose their right to veto or the system should be changed to a majority decision.

True of any number of nations who have been on that council. I have seen similar statements made about, for example, Saudi Arabia (in the past).
Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. ambassador to the UN, called for Russia to be suspended from the UN’s Human Rights Council, saying its inclusion “hurts the council’s credibility” and is “just plain wrong.”
This seems to me 'more of the same' as regards political rhetoric, which is one of the main functions of the UN.
And as to current wars, Ukraine and Russia are not alone.
(If any of you have been watching Ethiopia for the last year, there is some heart rending stuff going on there, but it doesn't seem to hit the news cycle as often).

Good for Finland, going about the process deliberately and openly. Whatever the vote, this will surely send a message to the average Russian that Putin’s policy is backfiring disastrously and actually nourishing NATO.
