Is Ukraine about to have a war?
The US is to set up a 'Kleptocapture' task force in Monaco to go after the assets of oligarch's linked to Putin's regime. Looks like a fun job.
On which note, I bet Abramovich is sweating about liquidating his assets in London and elsewhere in Europe, him now being a 'person of interest'.

The Ukrainian military has been using “Punisher” drones that can target fuel storage, ammunition supplies and electronic warfare stations up to 30 miles behind enemy lines.
Eugene Bulatsev, an engineer with the Ukrainian designer UA-Dynamics, said that the electric drones were “game-changing” and had completed up to 60 “successful” missions since the invasion began.

Leo Blavatnik?? Bejesus, forget about Cecil Rhodes, Oxford Uni are going to have to get the sign writers in:
The Blavatnik School of Government
"Our mission is to inspire and support better government and public policy around the world."
Err, does that include violent regime change??

They should cancel the fuel cards of the oligharcs jets which would mean cash to refuel.

Are the use of these drones another example of a Russian own-goal? Its been reported that Russian forces don't have widespread access to mil grade comms, and are instead having to rely on mobile phones and OTS walkie-talkies - the latter which operate on similar frequencies to commercial drones.
Related to this, the EW environment does seem to be rather benign, possibly another consequence of their comms limitations?

The Atlantic has an article regarding having conscript reserves. This was discussed earlier in the topic, before Putins hordes invaded Ukraine.

What makes you say this? Do you expect that EW capabilities and associated results to be made public? Personally, from past experience, I can imagine the EW environment to be very busy.

I was referring to Russian EW activities. I would have expected there to have been an EM blizzard there by now - no TV or phone signals etc.

Regarding Russians treating prisoners fairly, I guess both sides are lying through their teeth.
I am guessing for every prisoner that is shown being fine, there are at least ten being beaten up.
One thing that does make me wonder, if everything is going that fine for UKR forces, why the release of military experienced prisoners few days ago?
Heard today that Moscow admited 500 KIA abd 1500 WIA. I'm sure it's a lot more than that. Do we know what are Ukrainian military losses? Both personel and material?

This sounds interesting, coming from a Belarusian media. No confirmation however from other sources so far. If you dont count Linda Thomas-Greenfield making a statement in the UN yesterday of Putin threatening Finland and Sweden with an invasion.

Don't forget Finland discovered a secret Russian base on one of their islands a couple of years back with barracks, 9 piers, a helipad, and CCTC covering the whole island owned by a Russian.

It's still young men dying in wars started by old men.............

Doing so would have him start a conflict with the entire EU, and given what we have seen so far even without the US he wouldn’t stand a chance against the combined militaries of the EU.

..France “strongly” urged its citizens on Thursday to leave Russia if their presence there was “not essential”, following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine and the closure of airspace between Russia and the European Union.

From France24.com...perhaps HMG should give the same advice?
