Well no, instead of Dazzle camouflage we paint a big target on the false bow, the torpedoes just pass under and the Japs just think the fuses are fecked. ..

Not a caption but looked her up on Wiki and had a distinguished career, even helping in the USS Forrestal Fire.

No dont worry lads, I know the ship seems to be approaching at a high speed and it appears will be crashing into the dock and causing all manner of death and destruction but..
I'm sure the Captain knows what she is doing..
or
I'm sure the Nurses are experienced at Triage

The Captain decided to put the band onto a floating raft, so they could continue to cheer up the survivors after the ship finished sinking.

Mr Nokia looked up and thought, " there must be a simpler and quicker way to send a Short Message Service...."

the idea for that caption came from the bridge of LCT 7074 at The D Day Museum in Portsmouth. My picture of the signal flag cabinet did not come out well enough to show...

...and new improved Daz will not only get your whites whiter than white, it is also used to clean up ships hulls...

Buster almost had it with one of his early entries re naval gazing, but Kiltrash has finished strongly and come over the top with:

(I had a couple of Titanic lines in mind myself.)
