Unfortunately the devices were so effective at realistic simulation of flight that the use of the sim hoods had to be cancelled when the helmets filled with vomit during the cha cha . The helmets might have been more successful if they had not tried to engage in sniffle wiggle dances with the hosties .
All was not lost as the technology was evolved and improved for the newer Mark 21 and a half fighter helmets and remote drone operator helmets ,but sadly no computer has been able to get the pilots to dance in fusion synchronicity while shooting low approaches or delivering ordnance.
