XH560 looking a little better. I presume the probe went during Operation Corporate?

XH560 was converted to K2 standard during Op Corporate so kept the probe

Arghh! Should have known that. I was at Wyton and had PVR’d (Premature Voluntary Release). Having been at Wyton for four years I qualified for an environmental posting (should have been a priority posting to any place of my choosing). As I had plans of working at Aberdeen when the time came to go I applied for Leuchars or anywhere in Scotland. Whoever dealt with my posting certainly had a sense of humour. I was posted 70 miles up the road onto 50 Squadron!

It was probably the same person who dealt with my potential Father – in – Law’s and my postings back from Singapore. We had spent two years less than 20 yards (workwise) from each other – uncomfortable! He had asked for Leuchars or Scotland as I had done. I asked for Wattisham or East Anglia. We both went to Scampton. Oh how they must have laughed.

Morton , one guy I knew at Odiham applied for an environmental posting as his was wife getting pissed with his never ending detachments on a Puma Sqn, he got posted across the airfield to you guessed it, the other Puma Sqn.

I was on 50 Squadron from Nov 79 to disbandment in 84.
