1. At least one leg of the U.S. nuclear triad actually has weapon systems with physical triggers that are held in a human hand. But fear not; pulling said trigger simply closes one permissive link in a very long line of permissive links.
2. The statement by U.S. SotH about “taking the codes away” from Trump is legally absurd (but certainly political dynamite for an ignorant media).
3. The scenario of the U.S. POTUS unilaterally launching a nuclear strike is procedurally absurd. That’s not how the U.S. nuclear command and control system works.
4. During times of U.S. administration transition, it is common (and prudent) to bolster U.S. military readiness in global hot spots. Iran certainly qualifies.

Given that in his entire term he has done everything to avoid any new conflicts and was indeed pulling troops out of current actions, no he will not start any new wars. No more dead American kids coming home I believe was his mantra.

I give it a year before there is a new threat from the middle east and Joe the puppet will launch the necessary military intervention. Can we just avoid these thinly veiled political threads, they only serve to draw out the philosophical and moral gulf that exists between those at either end of the political spectrum.
The Trump Presidency will be over in a few days thank god. But he isn’t going to nuke Russia or vaporize Tehran so everyone can calm down, in fact from what I have seen he has gone out of his way to de-escalate and avoid conflict with foreign nations, especially compared to his predecessors both Republican and Democrat.

Thank-you for asking and yes, I do know exactly how it works. Moreover I have absolute trust in the professionalism and rigour in the USAF & USN personnel on all such matters. They are amongst the finest people I have worked alongside.
