Ramstein missile scare

Hmmm reading the end of this article , one readers comments makes a humorous reference to the 1983 Matthew Broderick thriller ‘War Games.

Ever heard of him? no? We all should have, if it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t be here today, the man was possibly the saviour of us all.

I was based in West Germany at the time of the false Allied missile strike warning in Russia. We heard a rumour about that incident not long after it must have happened. I can recall exactly where I was at the time I heard it and I was posted back to U.K. a few weeks later.

He should be honoured by both East and West!
