A guy in a flying suit wondering off into the distance with no idea where he is going in life...

I think the Wing Commander rank is absolutely perfect.

That said, this young man will probably achieve something worthwhile and of benefit to society...so maybe not.🤔

So much for the renowned military sense of humour...
It was perfectly clear, even to this bottom-feeding ex-SAC, that the post was intended to be humorous. Some people can't wait to be offended.

Good title - pity some didn't get the subtlety - and great action on the part of the kid and whoever organised it.

Good follow up with post #15 = ain't that the truth!

What a barrel of fun you must have been in the Forces.

When you walked into the bar I dont suppose all the other bods made thier excuses and Foxtrot Off'd did they?

I suggest you should have kept the cyst. That would have given you something to talk about.

And for the Love of God dont go on ARRSE.

I’ve bought my five year old grandson a spacesuit for Christmas complete with mission badges, he’s always wanted one. Good job I saw this string before I gave it to him. I’ll have to make sure he does the NASA course before he can have it. Can’t be to careful!

btw, nice one nutloose.

Hmmm, maybe, it would have reminded how little I missed knobs like you.

It’s really got nothing to do with having a sense of humour or not. It’s just an arse title for a thread about a young lad doing something good. Oh and the word ‘Walt’ won’t even be understood by most people under 50!

I am a bit overwhelmed of the amount of tw@ts, foxtrot oscars and other similar type of expressions being thrown here for such a thing. I'm not even a native english speaker and I found the title amusing in the context. If I wouldn't, I still couldnt abuse anyone else for it.

on topic: well done young lad, and the suit really suites you.

Guys, all chill out, it was supposed to be a thread about the good people in this world of give that are an inspiration regardless of age.

ExRadar I would do what I did ages ago and block SD then you don’t have to read the vindictive purile hate he posts, the only reason I’m seeing it now is some of you are quoting him.

..

are you serious, vindictive puerile hate, really? What because I said the thread title was daft? You need your bumps feeling fella.

You will also have noted that others shared the same view too.

radar bloke - go and chat to people in their teens, twenties and thirties, most won’t have a clue what a Walt is or have heard of Walter Mitty. Always a challenge to prove a negative though.

The idea of the forum is a discussion amongst like minded people. Some here are obviously not like minded and seem to want to criticise for criticism’s sake.

Not at all. Although I will clearly take issue with that sort of stupid comment.

the last time I checked which country I was sitting in, people were allowed to hold differing views, and to express them. Maybe you spent a little bit too much time in the mob and have forgotten that?
