This chap is a has been. I don’t understand why he is still given air time for stupid stuff like this.
I have. And I still don't think it's in any way offensive. Mike Myers' "Fat Bastard" wore the uniform of the Scots Guards I think. You should watch the movie: you might realise how ridiculous you're being.

N I wasn't the only place to incur casualties - we managed quite a few in Aden, Cyprus, Far East etc. it goes with the military territory and during my 35 years in Service, the GSM was generally regarded as the 'NAAFI queue' award. Still, if it really excites you that much, a re-examination of values might be in order!

What an obnoxious individual he is. On the plus side:
1. He knows that he will never hold a position in government again.
2. He knows that the party he supports may well not get into power again in his lifetime.
3. He knows that he will not be getting a well-paid job in Brussels with his old boss.
4. Somewhere in his head he has to live with what he did in 2003.
It pleases me that these are the realities he wakes up to every day.
