Details still coming in. I am hesitant to drive over there, but suspect the site is just off the base and is being secured to prevent folks with bad intentions from scrounging pieces, "sensitive" pieces.
The Raptor site is in a very secure area about 8 or 9 miles north of me, and the team there is still charting all the pieces and such as part of the investigations.
Least we know the seats work well, but those were expensive tests, huh?
Will report when we get more info.

At Patrick.......
Get a super heavy duty tin foil hat.
Of course, living very close, I may have been "beamed" by the dark side forces here.

Damn, that’s a lot of doses of hydroxychloroquine gone down the tubes!
Good to hear a successful ejection.

It's a result of 5G.

Sometimes the barber shop rumor network is more accurate then this "professional .... rumor network"
So getting first haircut in almost three months due to "recommended" personal isolation and actual legal shutdown of the barber shop, good intell. The shop is less than a mile from the east gate of Eglin, and filled with autographed pics and such from generations of folks that worked and flown at the base.
The plane hit close to the main runway, and it looks like weather may have been a factor. A local contributor on F-16.net says a strong CB was in the vicinity, although I am 2 miles away and our bad WX didn't arrive for another few hours. One barber shop source claimed the plane actually bounced off of the runway before the pilot "jettisoned" the sucker.
Good news is that seat seems to work well.

Gums. Delighted to hear he/she is OK.
Of course the seat worked well. It’s what it does, when given the chance. 😉

Great point, err pint, AR1. Drop by some time for oysters on the half shell, boiled crawfish, fresh shrimp off the dock, and some great local brew.
A few years back we had a new EW system being tested here and many of us had garage doors opening at odd times. Not so sure about you folks in the Motherland still driving 4 cylinder MG autos and using covers for your vehicles. The testing here also gave us problems with amateur radio stuff like my neighbor has, as well as basic AM radio reception.
Our local cell data transfer environment and options are pretty good, but I am sure I saw Rod Serling down at the corner the other night. I have also been having problems with the "Find Friends" app on the iPhone. Wife goes missing some times, and the new gardener shows up late. Hmmmm....
