I once saw a Puma in LFA1 a bit lower than this. I was on the Bluebell railway and looking out of the window, I was looking down on the rota disc . Disappointed that I have never seen this again, although I was seriously cut up by one on the A26 just north of Nutley driving home one night .

Seems to be some eastern passion. Have been on some freshly inherited East German Hip back then and they would never climb above treetop level.

Reminds me somewhat of the road to Belmopan (look it up!) but we did that at 450 kts. Surprised the odd 4-tonner, as I recall.

swing the lamp.

I almost had a head-on with a Puma in my car while cresting a hill in Fermanagh back in the day. They don't mention that in the Highway Code.

There were some lovely roads in NI for low flying and I have had to pull out to overtake in the past - happy days (80s)

It's lucky this is on the Miltary Aviation pages. Were it on Rotorheads there would now be four pages of posts screaming about irresponsible pilots and dangerous flying!

However, the UH1(205) video isn't military and appears to have pax (don't know if they were fare paying or not) on board.

There is a good reason military low flying takes place (even if some will kick the ass out of it - been there, done that) but civilians who want to fly like military pilots should join the military.

When you leave the military, stop flying that way - even I have managed to do that.

Conversely crab@, flying Walter into a head wind I once had a car pulling away from me in Norn Iron - it was a very sporty one through (the car, not the Wessex!)

I went round the south east part of SPTA in a Puma with an AAC test pilot at about that height once; most exhilerating!

No vibration from the fuselage skimming terra firma. I know the Hind's got retractable gear, but to quote a late, great Wessex driver: "If you don't touch your wheels on the ground every hundred yards, you are not low flying"
