And I saw VC10 BYE in Richmond Surrey a few weeks ago. A much missed aircraft which has touched many aeronautical souls during these past 60 years, from design to reminiscence.

At Brunty for the last landing
When I was on 92 at Leconfield as groundcrew on the Hunter the boss had an Aston Martin DB 4(?) painted in ground equipment blue. The reg was either CO 92 or OC 92. As I recall it was supposed to be passed from CO to CO. I wonder if either the car or the reg still exist.
C130NAV
A certain young female first tourist navigator on 70Sqn in the early 90s was given the above registration by her then boyfriend. I was mightily surprised to see her years later as a Gp Capt as the parade commander for the RAF Centenary celebrations but good for her.

I saw X24NAV a few times in France when the owner was visiting his second home in France. IIRC the owner had done tours on 24 on both the Hastings and the Herc'.

Sitting in the crewroom around 1974 thumbing through Exchange and Mart I spotted 111ACE for sale, on a moped. I assume it got snapped up by a 111 guy, but never heard anything more about it
PEN 15 was (is still?) owned by Steve Parrish the motorcycle racer. He overtook me just outside Dover in 1992 in a Porsche 911 fitted with that plate.
At an Air Cadet Flying Establishment I used to frequent the OC had the plate G18 VGS.
OC Mobile Met Unit had MMU 1
I have seen SKY80Y at B o Bs in the 1970s and 80s.
