XV Sqn "WWII Style" photo

I was at LBH from 89-92 on the GDT section (and attached to 16 Sqn) and I remember possibly the best spoof photo I have ever seen. XV Sqn got togged up in cliche WWII kit and posed as a gang. There were flying goggles, No1s, silk scarves, golf clubs, a dog and if memory serves correctly, the GLO was in it too. Does anybody have a copy of it please?

Many thanks

As an aside I was going through my kit the other week and found all my bits and bobs from when I was tasked to get 16 Sqn ready for GW1 including a nominal roll of the entire Sqn. Does anybody know if this would be of any use to anyone, I am thinking Sqn association/historians etc?

No further asides.

RAF Museum springs to mind - Cosford, perhaps?

I think I know the one you mean. Would JN and possibly JP be on it?

Yes they were and I think the flamboyantly moustachioed one was as well.

Is that the same spoof photo that everyone seems to do? I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve seen a black and white photo of a gang with open neck shirt, no1s and a pipe.

Thanks!

I had forgotten about the Team Tornado book. I seem to remember there being a large one mounted somewhere, PBF I think, I could be horribly wrong. On the off chance someone has a digital copy I am more than happy to have a chat about a donation to association funds/charity.

Hi Sittingstress - I have a copy of the photo to which you refer...... If you let me know who you are and what you'd like the photo for by DM?
Alternatively - if you get a hardback copy of TT - it features as a double page spread on the photo pages!
