Thank you!

On the 26th September 2019 my father in law's funeral took place. He served in the Fleet Air Arm from 1949 till 1970 and worked on practically every aircraft carrier that the RN had during that period. He was a maintainer and had detailed knowledge of Tiger Moth, Sea Otter, Firefly, Sea Fury, Scimitar, Sea Vixen etc.finishing up as an inspector on the Hawk and Sea Harrier flight shed at Dunsfold.

The reason for this post is that I would like to thank the crew of the Wildcat that made a flypast over the crematorium at Grayshott at EXACTLY the right moment. The timing was absolutely perfect.

It was a very fitting tribute to a man whose service covered both of his main interests, the sea and aircraft.

The entire family would like to thank all those in the RN, FAA that helped to ensure that he got the send off he deserved.
