In that, rolling, you should indeed. Now, since you are bragging about Professors and your dissertation, am I correct that you are not a Military Aviator qualified in FJ combat, radar, bombing, tactics EW and that sort of thing?

Come on, play the ball, not the man. You can do better than that.

Yes, fair call. But, I am responding to an obvious expert with a dissertation here!
Beyond that, there are a lot of what-ifs from the RAF WW2 Bomber offensive, many of which are open to opinion. However, some tactics and technical realities are not subject to speculation and, particularly in view of the great loss of life in Bomber Command, it annoys me when fact's or statistics are mixed with fiction or uninformed opinion. Cheers

If anyone hasn't already done so they should read Confound and Destroy - 100 Group and the Bomber Support Campaign by Martin Streetly:
ISBN 0354 01180 4.

Chapter 6 describing Exercise Operation Post Mortem, a series of Bomber Command exercises between 25 Jun - 7 Jul 1945 aimed at assessing the effectiveness of countermeasures and tactics against the Luftwaffe air defence organisation, is particularly interesting. You may then wish to take a look at RAF Historical Society Journal No. 28 to see how quickly some of the lessons learned were forgotten.

Gentlemen I am not here to score points, but to just tell you as I see it. Everyone has their own theory and I respect that, even if I don't agree.

I did say: ................the nuisance value of Mosquitos over Berlin ? If so, I would love to see the evidence. ..........
You may assume that I have most if not all of the books bearing on the subject, I just need evidence not an opinion please.
